Assistant Financial Controller

Expanding division of a successful global group are keen to appoint a driven individual to form part of their finance team. This is a pivotal role where you will support the Financial Controller in the group finance function, overseeing and mentoring a Part Qualified AAT Trainee Accountant.  You will have a solid background within a group finance environment with a proven understanding of financial accounting and controls and reporting deadlines, dealing with cost centres and VAT/P&L/Balance Sheet preparation, ideally gained within a a manufacturing environment. In addition, you will be actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA (ideally close to qualifying), have experience of staff supervision and development, advanced Excel and possess the ability to learn new systems quickly. You will be self-motivated, confident and hands on, with genuine potential and natural flair for analysis and seeing projects/tasks through to completion.
