The primary purpose of this role is to support the financial planning processes and drive the commercial finance teams to provide high quality consistent financial information.

Description
Forecasting Cycles:
- Strategic Plan - Long term five year planning
- Annual Operating Plan - medium term one year planning
- Quarterly Forecasts - managing delivery of AOP
- Three month Outlook - managing delivery of AOP in the short term
Key forecasting responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Group Commercial Finance Manager to consolidate all P&L forecasts
- Work closely with demand planning to ensure sales forecasts are fully reflected and captured in the S&OP process
- Co-ordinate detailed variance analysis to explain any significant movements and work with regions/departments to deliver solutions
- Support key projects aimed at EBITDA improvements
- Produce various KPI reports aimed at driving the performance and the commercial finance team
- Maintain forecasting models on Forex exposure
- Support the month end consolidation process
- Ensure all Group timelines are adhered to
Other duties/responsibilities:
- Support systems development and implementation
- Work with the Group finance team on production of trial balances to load all financial plans into accounting and reporting systems
- Provision of support of the re-cut and reconciliation of AOP. Work alongside Group finance in the restatement of prior year accounts and revisions of standard costs and new FX rates
Profile
Essential : Job Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience relevant to the role:
- Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA)
- Experience of a commercially focused environment and /or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of financial processes
- Extremely strong IT skills; including highly proficient Excel modelling, PowerPoint and accounting system platforms
- Precise attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels
- Strong cross functional collaboration
Desirable : Job Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience relevant to the role:
- Preferred knowledge of foreign currency P&L's, manufacturing and intercompany accounting
- Knowledge of Financial reporting systems such as TM1 or Hyperion
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience of working in a multi-site complex organisation
- Experience of working in a branded consumer goods company

Job Offer
Basic salary of £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
