Our client a successful business based in Hinckley due to growth are looking to appoint an experienced Tax professional on a Full Time Permanent basis.
The role:
Providing expert, high level telephone Tax advisory services to a client base of over 8,000 clients, in respect of all areas of taxation.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Responsible for the provision of telephone Tax advice.
- Responsible for the provision of e-mail Tax advice.
- In respect of both of the above, establishing the full facts, researching where appropriate and communicating a full answer, with reference to the appropriate legislation.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge in respect of all areas of Tax, including keeping up to date with the appropriate Tax legislation and developments in Tax law.
- Generating more in-depth Tax investigation and consultancy referrals.
- On occasion undertaking in-depth consultancy and investigation work.
- Identifying business development opportunities in order to grow the consultancy client base and provide additional consultancy services.
- Any other duties that are deemed appropriate from time to time in line with the Job Summary.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates will ideally possess all or some of the following attributes:
Proven Tax experience either within private practice and/ or with HMRC.
Experience using online Tax reference materials (e.g. Tolleys / HMRC's website).
Good computer literacy.
Professional Qualifications.
The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of Microsoft excel, strong numerical skills, the ability to prioritise and a pleasant telephone manner.
