Elevation Recruitment Group are working in exclusive partnership with a market leading manufacturing organisations as they look to recruit a technically strong and commercially astute Factory Controller.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, this position will build and maintain key relationships with senior management. You will be responsible for understanding key drivers of direct cost variances and communicating this insight to operational managers to help drive appropriate actions.

Key responsibilities will include:

-Investigate any major variances and produce supporting commentary in the form of a weekly/period result pack
-Lead cost reviews with operational leadership team with a view to driving down cost and making informed business decisions
-Perform weekly & periodic operational performance KPI's and analysis accurately whilst adhering to agreed deadlines, allowing adequate time for full review before finalisation of the numbers
-Ensure metrics data is accurately captured and input into the periodic template
-Support the operations team to understand the likely cost implications of several courses of action to enable informed decision-making
-Coach Shift Managers to more fully understand financial drivers to help drive improved cost performance
-Partner Finance Controller / Business Partner in helping to construct a detailed and accurate AOP, ensuring key assumptions were a fair reflection of reality
-Coordinate the factory budgeting and forecasting process
-Help drive best practice in terms of process
-Help drive efficiencies in the factory
-Help support business initiatives, for example, paperless factory

The successful candidate will require the following:

-Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is essential, including analysis of factory performance KPI's
-Advanced skills in ERP (SAP ), Excel and PowerPoint
-Drive for results, ability to set own agenda and perform to it
-Excellent communication skills with all levels, to seek and deliver complex data
- Strong influencing skills, particularly with Key Leaders
- Analytical thinking, passion to seek data driven solutions
