Head of Finance

Young Manchester are looking to recruit a head of finance who will work closely with the CEO

Your new company 
I am working in conjunction with Young Manchester in order to recruit the organisation’s 1^st head of finance. Young Manchester are a new company formed in order to improve the lives of young people within Manchester. They work closely with the local community and local businesses in order to develop strategies that with mutually benefit both parties. Having appointed a CEO with a real passion for Young Manchester’s cause, as well as the drive to build on their successes, they now need a head of finance & monitoring in order to develop systems, processes and procedures that will enhance the organisations financial performance.

Your new role 
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team in order to implement processes and improve the quality of the finance team. It will be your responsibility to develop financial plans, prepare businesses cases and appraisals to ensure the financial viability of major development projects within the charity. You will work closely with the CEO and produce board reports. You will also complete month end and year end accounts, budgets & forecasts whilst overseeing payroll, sales ledger & purchase ledger. 

What you'll need to succeed 
You must be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with the gravitas to business partner with key stakeholders throughout the charity. As this is a new venture it is essential that you are a self-starter who has the passion for the brand and the drive to develop a first class finance division. You will need to experience of managing a team and an understanding of tax as well as either Sage or Quickbooks would be beneficial.
