Our client is a global specialist for private market investments, offering advisory services and investment solutions for institutional investors.
Job Description
Manage the sourcing of primary and secondary investment opportunities by maintaining
relationships with fund managers and intermediaries and ensure a systematic coverage of
the private equity and private debt fund investment universe in Europe.
- Lead investment due diligence projects on primary and secondary investments across private
- equity and private debt
- Prepare screening memos and detailed investment recommendation reports
- Present investment proposals to the companies investment committee
- Perform legal and tax due diligence in cooperation with internal and external legal counsels,
- including negotiation of terms and conditions
- Monitor investee funds through update calls and meetings with fund managers and respond
- to investor consent requests
- Participate in prospect and client meetings as private market subject matter expert
- Prepare quarterly client reports and respond to client requests
- Conduct market research studies and client portfolio analysis and present results in client-ready presentations
- Contribute to the preparation of marketing materials and RfP questionnaires
- Support the companies investment consultants on private market advisory projects
The Successful Applicant
- Top academic credentials (MSc), additional qualifications (CFA, CAIA) are a plus
- Minimum of 5-10 years of professional work experience in the private equity and/or private debt asset classes and a profound knowledge of the fund investment universe and process
- Experience in private market secondaries is a plus
- Strong analytical, conceptual and editorial skills
- Ability to boil complex analysis down to an essence
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (experienced in storytelling)
- Self-motivated team player and ability to work independently
- Strong sense of ownership, paying attention to detail and ensuring high-quality client deliverables within set timelines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German
