Blackwaters is partnering with Matrix APA to source a Head of Finance to be based in Clapham. We are looking for an ambitious individual who can move upwards into the Finance Director role within 18 months and assist with the exit strategy.

The Business:

Matrix APA is an established, yet fast growing, product design and manufacturing partner to global brands. They provide specialist design and procurement services to some of most impressive businesses within the retail, aviation and beauty industries.

The Role:

The primary function the Head of Finance will be to manage the day to day finance function and act as a business partner to the main board, adding value commercially.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Managing margins, resources and working capital through a sustained period of rapid growth;
• Contributing to the design and implementation of a mid-office ERP system;
• Designing and implementing new business processes and reports;
• Developing the web-based Xero accounting system and consolidation routines;
• Managing a growing finance team located in London, Hong Kong and China.

The Candidate:

Cultural match will be key here; we are looking for a high potential individual who can demonstrate the following:

• An appetite to help drive the business forward
• Qualified Accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA
• Significant commercial involvement – outside of traditional finance role
• SME exposure (OMB, VC or PE)
• Solid finance system development skills
• Great Excel capability
• FMCG/Manufacturing (general product-based) background is desirable
