Group Finance Director

Our client is an innovative and award-winning construction and sustainable energy development group that is achieving exceptional growth, with turnover expected to double. They have an opportunity for a Group Finance Director, based at their Head Office near Stamford. Working alongside the CEO and Managing Director you will be responsible for all financial aspects of company strategy, supporting and delivering profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Form a close working relationship with the CEO, MD and other Senior Directors and take responsibility for the company's finance team.
• Provide leadership to the Board's finance and accounting strategy, to optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position.
• Contribute fully to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
• Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
• Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulate strategies and plans.
• Group reporting & consolidation of results
• Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed.
• Working capital, project and cash management.
• Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodes are met.
• Corporate finance - manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions as appropriate.

Personal Qualities:

• You will be a qualified accountant with previous experience with the construction or civil engineering sector.
• Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, insightful and influential with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
• Ability to handle all levels of pressure and critical decision making
• High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance
• Highly motivated with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
