An organisation based in Central London is expanding its accounts department of 4 by adding an Accounts Administrator to cover a wide range of duties, outlined below:
  • Daily checks and management of various multi-currency accounts with the handling of large sums of funds
  • Acknowledging receipt of funds and allocating to the ledger
  • Processing a weekly ledger payment run via online banking
  • Co-ordinating foreign exchange transactions for international payments
  • Weekly bank and account reconciliations across all currency accounts
  • Producing financial statements for individual accounts
  • Arranging the system set up of new accounts
  • Producing sales billing to clients, created from analysis of staff time-based ledgers 
  • Liaising directly with the bank and clients to deal with any queries that arise
The individual will be highly confident with numbers, confident in using Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word and will have excellent written skills and telephone manner. Suitable candidates will have experience of working in a finance environment including reconciliations and online banking. Exposure to using Microsoft Access database and/or Sage would also be helpful and as this business has a legal dimension to it, experience within a legal environment may also be beneficial. The position would not be suitable for a part qualified or studying accounts and the degree of progression would be unlikely to keep pace with your learning.
