Elevation Senior Finance is currently recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of an award winning business in the centre of Leeds.

My client is keen to find a confident and personable accountant with a passion for being involved in the wider business working closely with sales and marketing. You will have full responsibility for all aspects of finance. This includes day to day financial control, transaction processing, reporting, planning and the line management of 2 direct reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Internal Reporting

*Preparation of the Management Accounts
*Preparation of the accounts for the holding companies
*Preparation of the monthly Board Report for presentation to the Chairman and Management Board
*Preparation of Client P&L's and assisting account directors in understanding client performance
*Ad hoc analysis as requested from the business

External Reporting

*Responsibility for preparing for the company audit and working with the external accountants in preparing the Statutory Accounts for the three companies. Working with the external accountants to ensure these are submitted on time
*Responsibility for preparation and payment of the VAT return, and P11d's
*Responsibility for working with the external accountants to ensure that the PAYE and NI, Corporation Tax, PSA settlement are calculated correctly and paid over as due
*Responsibility for completion of company annual returns

Financial Management

*Management of the purchase and sales ledgers
*Authorisation and approval of purchase invoices and supplier payments runs ensuring that these operate in a controlled environment (segregation of duties in small team)
*Working alongside the credit controller to ensure that customers pay as per terms Ensuring that the business follow the correct procedures with customers
*Responsibility for the general ledgers and posting of journal entries
*Responsibility for understanding the cash position of the business and key contact for the banking relationship manager

Financial Planning

*Responsibility for the co-ordination of the annual plan with assistance from the business
*Prepare the daily cashflow forecast with assistance from team. Managing cash payments and receipts in line with available funds

Business Support

*Working with the Commercial Manager and Group Account Directors to ensure that fee proposals and client rates cards are profitable
*Help the business drive profitability through understanding and explaining client profitability
*Assistance with cost control and cost review.

Key person attributes:

*A recognised accounting qualification. ACCA, CIMA, ACA
*Proven organisation skills, passion & determination to learn
*Advanced Excel skills
*Dynamic, forward thinking, a true business partner to the business
