fdu is recruiting a European Internal Controls Manager for a market leading multinational FMCG / luxury consumer products business. Working in this complex, multi-jurisdictional business you will report directly to the European CFO and will be principally responsible for:
- Evaluating and improving the effectiveness of Risk Management, Control and Governance processes across Europe;
- Reviewing, developing and implementing policies and internal controls.
Key responsibilities:
- Organise and manage the internal controls function across the European territories including the preparation of the annual audit plan;
- Development and implementation of all internal control policies across all European territories;
- Conduct audit testing of potential risk areas within the business;
- Identify areas of strengths and weaknesses, working with senior management to develop and implement best practice;
- Monitor and provide advice to senior management to minimise risk resulting from poor internal controls.
Key criteria:
- A Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent);
- The ideal candidate will have trained in Audit and then supplemented this experience with 1-2 years’ controls/process improvement experience in a multinational organisation;
- A second European language is advantageous;
- Although this is currently a standalone position, you must possess the ability to manage and drive project teams to enable you to deliver on your objectives;
- You must be culturally aware, be able to demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence and possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
