Robertson Bell finance are currently recruiting for a Systems and Processes Accountant. Our Oxfordshire based client is a large government funded research organisation, who are actively looking for a enthusiastic and committed Systems and Processes Accountant to join the team on a 18-month fixed term contract whilst they are going through an exciting period of change across the organisation.

This role has been established to represent the finance needs during the introduction of new systems and processes and works closely with the project managers, finance team and key stake holders to manage the configuration and implementation of these systems. Reporting to the Project Manager and Head of Finance, your focus will be 80% system orientated, specific responsibilities include:

*Identify areas for improvement in current finance systems and relevant policies and processes whilst working with finance team members and stakeholders.
*Create proposals and recommendations suitable for the consideration and decisions of senior management and the Executive Board.
*Represent the finance function in the system procurement process and contribute to the identification of a preferred system and supplier.
*Lead for Finance on the development and execution of the systems implementation plan.
*Planning and implementing the transfer of financial services and processes.
*Work with the finance team, systems and processes managers across the organisation to identify and resolve finance-related issues during the project.
*Develop and identify new financial analysis and management reporting requirements appropriate for a not for profit research organisation.

In applying for this post, you must be a fully qualified accountant with evident experience of implementing new ERP systems whilst improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems and processes. This will have ideally come from within the public sector or other medium sized organisations. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, being able to communicate clearly and persuasively to work synergistically with a range of stakeholders. Specialist experience or qualifications using Lean, Sic Sigma, Oracle financials or iProcurement would be desirable.
