Group Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working on behalf of a leading manufacturing business looking to appoint a Qualified Group Accountant to work from their offices in Worksop.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the balance sheets are accurate and supported, supervising and supporting the maintenance of the UK entities general ledger and ensuring the accurate reporting of the monthly financials. You will also prepare and file the statutory accounts, VAT and Corporation tax.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

*Managing the Month-end and Year End closing processes
*Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations
*Supervising preparation of VAT returns
*Preparing Statutory Accounts
*Preparing Tax returns
*Invoicing Intercompany recharges
*Accounting for derivatives and forex hedging
*Preparing Revenue recognition journals
*Accounting for Fixed assets: accounting & reconciliation
*Supervising payroll bookings
*Approving manual journal entries
*Reviewing the monthly Trial Balance
*Assisting in the improvement of internal procedures

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

*ACA/ACCA Qualified
*Knowledge of UKGAAP
*High level of Excel knowledge
*Strong Technical Accounting skills
*Ability to work cross functionally and liaise at all levels
