Accounts Payable Team Leader
Our client is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to support a team of 6 AP reports, working to ensure weekly, monthly deadlines are meet and ensuring that controls and processes are adhered to.

Accounts Payable Team Leader – Main Responsibilities
- Support, coach and mentor a team of 6 Accounts Payable staff, identifying training and development needs
- Responsible for key supplier accounts and the end to end process
- Ensure all ledgers are maintained, supplier and customer reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
- Responsible for the aged creditors and debtors
- Assist with improving the current KPIs and develop new KPIs
- Review the current PO system and project manage the move to a new system
- Review current controls and implement improvements
- Provide Cashflow forecasting to the Assistant Financial Controller
- Ensure compliance with supplier set up’s within the system
- Develop strong relationship with key suppliers
- Work with the Property Finance team in Manchester (occasional travel to Manchester will be required) to ensure the service levels for their rent and rate suppliers are properly managed
- Rectify any miss postings in a timely manner
- Be part of the team for one of the key points of contact with the Auditors for the systems audit and end of year audit
- Ensure compliance with supplier set up
- Work with the Tax Accountant to ensure all VAT is recorded correctly.
Accounts Payable Team Leader – The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 3 years experience using Oracle is essential
- Previous experience of supervising/team leading is essential
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong previous Accounts Payable experience
- Experience of working in a fast paced organisation
- Attention to detail
- Good IT skills
- Team Player, willing to learn and help drive initiatives forward
- Excellent communication skills and good telephone manner
- Willingness to support changes and improvements to increase efficiency
- Knowledge of the retail, hospitality or property sectors is preferable
- Multi-site operations experience is desirable
- Ability to build professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
