Finance Assistant

Our client is a £300m+ t/o Manufacturer with multiple sites in the UK are looking to add a Graduate or AAT Qualified Finance Assistant to their dynamic/ experienced finance team. Due to an exciting ongoing Project this Market Leading company is looking for someone who wishes to gain more experience and add value (for at least a 12 month contract period) in a new role created to meet the evolving demands of this rapidly expanding organisation.

Reporting directly to one of the Management Accountants with a wealth of Qualified Accountants to support and develop you. The successful Finance Assistant will be in the pole position for any permanent roles that come up in this developing Finance team. This is a rare and all-encompassing role and a brilliant opportunity for a Finance Graduate or AAT Qualified Accountant to take on additional responsibility and gain invaluable Management Accounts experience in a successful Manufacturing organisation.

The Finance Assistant responsibilities will include:-
 

• Assisting with monthly management reporting including the production of profit & loss statements, including sales and product profitability reporting
• Assisting with the preparation and issue of monthly finance data for the control and management of costs
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting
• Assist in year-end audit analysis
• identify trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvements etc
• Assist senior members of the Finance team with other appropriate duties and ad-hoc exercises required for the effective operation of the company

Qualifications and Experience:-

• AAT Qualified or have a 2.1 or above Finance related Degree.
• Previous finance experience including assisting with Month end or Financial reporting would be advantageous.
• This role is ideally suited to someone who is looking to start their professional qualifications and would like some industry experience to help them make a decision about which route to follow.
• The role will initially revolve around analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with the production of management reports. You will be given more responsibility as you develop.
