Newly Qualified Group Accountant
c£40-48k + 10% Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Looking for the first move into industry? Want exposure to senior management and corporate finance looking at Mergers & Acquisitions?
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Newly Qualified ACA from a medium sized practice looking for their first step into industry, or equally a newly qualified ACCA from a group company background looking for a step up with broad exposure to M&A and corporate finance.
This highly visible role reports into a dynamic Group Financial Controller and offers great exposure to the CFO and other board members. Working for a rapidly growing, private equity backed £600m t/o Company will give the opportunity to influence decisions and add immediate value.
To be considered you will be ideally either from a top 30 firm where you've prepared financial statements/ statutory accounts or moving from industry having had exposure to group consolidation.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist with consolidation of group month-end accounts
-Assisting with the preparation for the Monthly Board Report, including reconciliations of working capital and cash conversion
-Monthly and Quarterly Shareholder and Bank Reports
-Hands-on support of the business's external auditors, offering recommendations where appropriate
-Assisting on all Group corporate tax matters including computations
-Assisting on all Group corporate treasury matters, in particular management of cash flows, interest and capital payments, loans, and financial derivatives
-Assisting in the Group budgeting process
-Supporting the Director of M&A on projects as required
-Preparing ad-hoc presentations and analysis for the CEO, CFO and senior management team
What we are looking for:
-Strong academic background and an excellent degree (2:1 minimum)
-Finalist or Newly qualified (ACA/ACCA)
-Strong excel skills (Vlookups and pivot tables minimum)
-Knowledge of statutory reporting and group consolidation experience
-Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
