The opportunity
A £35m t/o private equity backed software company is seeking an experienced Financial Director/ Head of Finance to support the COO on commercial and strategic aspects of the business. Due to a recent secondary-buy-out transaction, the new PE investors and stakeholders have high growth plans going forward for the business. This role will be accountable for the finance department with a team of four people and will report directly to the COO.
The role
Key responsibilities will include working closely with the COO, executives and senior management team on the improvement of systems, processes and controls; contribute to the commercial development of the business through accurate FP&A, ad-hoc analysis and working capital management support. Liaise with bankers, third-parties and PE investors ensuring operations are run appropriately. Support the PE exit through comprehensive financial due-diligence process.
The requirements
You will be a qualified accountant with experience within the SME environment (£20-£80m revenue size companies). Ideally with a software company environment. This role requires a highly communicative leader with experience in managing teams and wide experience of the finance function operating in multi-currency environments. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach with a highly commercial mindset and have an ambitious yet humble personality.
