Finance Manager

A Finance Manager is required by a national company which is at the forefront of innovative technology to be based in Thatcham, Berkshire. Reporting directly to the European Financial Controller the Finance Manager will be responsible for the UK business and supporting the accounting function across 2 other European sites. Managing a small team your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the production of monthly management accounts, and oversee integrity and financial reporting of the business
• Support the move from Microsoft Navision to SAP, contributing to the review and improvement of processes and controls
• Support merchandising teams with stock reporting, aging, obsolescence, provisioning etc.
• Take over UK VAT, Intrastat and EEC sales reporting
• Instigate new payroll process in advance introduction of SAP
• Instigate improved financial reporting process, working with European Business Unit leaders
• Support US finance department with quarter end and yearend financial reporting requirements
• Support local AP/AR functions
• Support accounting function within other European group entities
• Ensure vendor spa and marketing contributions recovered
• Work with internal and external auditors
• Responsible for working with external tax advisors and accountants to ensure corporate tax returns accurately generated and statutory accounts produced in an accurate and timely basis
• Work with European finance function to support in as necessary in various ad hoc assignments
• Produce any necessary compliance reports e.g. WEEE and also support H&S process
• Assist with company’s facilities management
• Assist in quarter and year-end financial statement process
• Performing special projects as required
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal Finance Manager candidate will be fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with previous supervisory experience, SAP experience would be desirable  and in return you will receive a salary of between £50k-£60k + excellent other benefits.
