Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will have overall responsibility for several areas within finance including month end account preparation and financial controls. You will be expected to support other areas within finance so all round experience is a necessity. Typical responsibilities include:

• Preparation and posting of prepayments and accruals
• Stock and cost of product valuation
• Gross Margin Calculation & Analysis
• Revenue verification
• Fixed asset Register
• Balancing of control accounts and trial balance review
• Group reporting

• Internal controls
• Support external compliance reporting including SOX
• Annual statutory accounts and returns

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must be actively studying towards ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, with a background of either AAT or a relevant degree. You should have at least 2 years experience and be capable of all round Assistant Accountant duties to be considered for this job in Chesterfield. Exceptional applications may be considered with slightly less experience, this will be discussed upon application.
