A superb opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Manager to work very closely with the Senior Management Team. The role will give the individual great exposure to the wider Capita business plus the chance of excellent career progression.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of the Business Plan - support and assist the management team to deliver the BP.
- Manage and deliver the monthly reporting process (Flash, Forecast, MOB reporting and balance sheets)
- Support the successful resolution of commercial issues
- Responsible for business finance function including processes, procedures and controls.
- Ensuring that the business unit complies with Capita Accounting Policies and procedures and relevant accounting standards
- Ensuring the business has sufficient financial MI to meet its needs
- Management and development of the finance team - Develop effective strategies for staff recruitment, development and retention such that a professional and motivated workforce is created.
- Review of Workings Capital, debtor positions and work in progress.
- Developing effective systems and controls for performance management, supported by clear KPIs (both financial and non-financial).
- Regularly review the actual and target operating model and seek to implement improvements at all times.
- Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and adhered to, including all key profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations across the Division.
- Provide pro-active support to the Portfolio Finance Director on month end issues, forecasting, year-end and business planning processes and produce key analysis schedules.
- Co-ordinate year-end processes including statutory reporting and external audit queries.
- Plan, organise and execute a number of Division wide initiatives to improve turnover, profitability and financial governance.
- Production of monthly Programme and Operations Board reports
- Attendance at Programme and Operations Boards
- Production of quarterly Strategic Partnership Boards reports

- Qualified accountant with minimum of 4/5 years PQE
