An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our clients Senior Leadership Team as the Finance Director. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will be able to provide accounting and strategic leadership and management. Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate an ability to work flexibly and under pressure, they will be able to evidence excellent communication and analytical skills, will have the ability to work well on a team, and will be highly IT literate.

The Finance Director will be responsible for preparing annual accounts, compiling management accounts, creating budgets and monitoring expenditure against them, and compiling cash-flow forecasts as well as managing the bookkeeping function and fulfilling the Company Secretarial function. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate commercial and / or professional experience in the field of finance. They will be spiritually mature and be a proven team player with excellent interpersonal skills. An excellent working knowledge of Excel is also essential, as is experience in business planning and modelling.

The successful applicant will need to have a passion for their work and to see this role as part of their call to ministry. As such it is a genuine occupational requirement for the Finance Director to be a Christian.

Commitment and Pay scale:

The successful candidate will be based at offices in Cheltenham and will be able to attend both Residentials (currently circa 10 days per annum). This is a part-time contract of between 2 and 3 days per week, including 25 days holiday (FTE) plus Bank Holidays and access to a pension scheme. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Hours and the exact scope of the role can be negotiated for the right candidate.
