RK Accountancy are currently recruiting a Billing Administrator to join a leading law firm based in Leeds.
The main purpose of the role is to process all bills for the team and liaise with the central Finance function to ensure that all bills are logged on and issued to clients in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure the timely and accurate billing clients each month which includes:
- responsibility for understanding and management WIP, the status of ongoing matters and producing any necessary reports as well as highlighting any areas of risk to finance and practice group management
- running necessary monthly reports for clients where required
- logging proformas and write offs for Finance
- preparing bills and sending to clients
Receiving, checking and collating overseas agents' invoices to ensure they are attributed to the correct files as fees or disbursements
Liaising with clients with regards to queries on invoices and financial matters and with agents relating to their invoices
Providing guidance to fee earners on the team's financial processes and procedures relating to the billing process, as well as building and managing relationships within Finance and with clients
Dealing with specific billing requirements for various clients
Undertaking any ad hoc projects related to financial housekeeping and provide appropriate
Liaising with Credit Control/clients in relation to settlement of outstanding invoices
Any other financial related matters
Skills and experience required:
Good sense of commercial and financial awareness
Previous experience of working in a similar role
Excellent IT skills including strong knowledge of Excel and Word
Accuracy and keen attention to detail
Key competencies:
Highly motivated, accurate and works well under pressure
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Good interpersonal and communication skills as client contact, including liaising with international clients
The ability to work as part of a team in a flexible manner to allow for changing priorities/workflows
Strong organisation skills
