Financial Accountant

Currently recruiting a Financial Accountant for our client based near Royston. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join the finance team of a rapidly growing business. This role will be responsible for financial accounting across a number of companies within the Group

The business continues to desire high quality reporting to inform and evaluate business decisions. This needs to be supported by accurate financial reporting in both the P&L and Balance Sheet

-Produce monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for the limited company and subsidiaries
-Produce monthly reconciliations for some balance sheet accounts and review all balance sheet reconciliations
-Produce monthly stock analysis and reconciliations, investigating movements and anomalies
-Produce monthly corporate overhead reports and provide finance business partnering support for the relevant cost centre managers
-Investigate reasons for any resulting discrepancies from periodic stock counts
-Maintain and update the fixed asset register
-Further develop processes and reporting in the ERP system to increase efficiency, controls and reporting
-Monitor GIT and WIP and ensure system is working appropriately
-Preparation of annual audit deliverables on P&L and Balance Sheet
-Review and document key finance department processes and procedures
-Assist and support the preparation of UK and EU VAT and Intrastat returns


You will ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified accountant or studying towards a qualification. Educated to degree level is desirable and Audit background would advantageous. This role would particularly suit newly qualified ACA looking for first move out of the profession.
