Financial Controller

SME business in Chesterfield are looking to recruit a Financial Controller due to increased turnover and a recent restructure.

Your new role
As Financial Controller you will be No1 in finance and work closely with the Managing Director as part of the senior leadership team. There is a small but experienced team of 3 who do the transactional work and then the Financial Controller will produce all management accounts and subsequent financial reporting as well as year-end duties. This is a hands on role and you will be required to support the Managing Director on strategic projects whilst also performing a very hands on role day to day.

The successful role holder will need to be proactive in their approach to work and strive to make improvements to financial systems and Management Information. The Managing Director provides the Financial Controller with free rein to manage the finance department but is also there as a support and can provide assistance where required. Ideally you will have previous experience in a No1 role but we are also looking for candidates who can step up into the role.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have worked as a Financial Controller within an SME environment..
