Our client is an international advertising and marketing communications group with a world-wide reputation for creative excellence and effective advertising, digital and design.   The business has experienced strong growth over the past five years and is now looking to appoint a highly driven CFO to partner the management team.  The role will report into the COO and CEO, Founding Partner and will involve working closely with the Managing Directors who run individual businesses within the group.

Role

  • Responsibility for the running of all aspects of the finance function including day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities
  • Responsibility for all reporting to Shareholders
  • Working with the COO, CEO & Managing Directors to manage their businesses to maximise EBITDA
  • Working closely with the COO, CEO and  MD’s
  • Overall responsibility for the financial accounting and reporting
  • Managing a capable, efficient finance function which will deliver the support the growing business needs
  • Improving and enforcing operational and internal control procedures
  • Maximising Cash Flow and Working Capital
  • Responsibility for the annual audit and the production of statutory accounts
  • Financial planning budgeting & forecasting
  • Responsibility for monthly and annual reporting

Experience and skills

  • Qualified Accountant
  • 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
  • Experience of a client-facing environment such as marketing communications or management consultancy
  • Pro-active, ability to initiate and implement change
  • Demonstrable experience of leading
  • Excellent systems and technology knowledge in particular strong excel skills and the ability to develop accounting and other systems
  • Ability to work flexibly, under pressure, and to meet demanding deadlines, including the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • An ability to make quick but good decisions
