Management Accountant

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Management Accountant into a fixed term contract role, based in Greater Manchester for a multi-site Retailer with ambitious and realistic plans for growth. The business has built a strong culture of meritocracy and internal promotion for high achievers and are now looking to backfill a secondment. The role will be based within a high performing team and focussing on the overall service to their customers / clients enabling critical decision making and performance related MI.

Key responsibilities required for the role of Management Accountant:

• All round Management Accounting role, production of balance sheet reconciliations
• Production of high quality Management Information (MI)
• Provision of Variance Analysis, highlighting performance ( under / over ) with related commentary
• Delivery of business improvements as part of ad-hoc project work
• Coaching of junior management accountant, drive development and performance
• Element of partnering internal and external departments within operations

Key requirements required for the role of Management Accountant:

• Qualified accountant with relevant Management accounting skillset as above, including balance sheet reconciliations
• Proven track record of Reporting and Analysis
• Strong Excel skills
• Committed to duration of role, minimum of 4 months, realistic extension to 6-9 months
• Retail experience would be desirable at this stage of the process
• Team player attitude, building of positive relationships with other areas, ability to mentor junior colleague
