My client, a Private Equity backed business operating in the industrial sector is looking to hire a Strategic Planning Manager. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a newly created role designed to focus on the financial effects of strategic decisions and initiatives, including managing and controlling the medium and long term financial forecasts. The role will directly interact not only with the CFO, but with other members of the management team, including the CEO, and also the Private Equity Investors.

The key responsibilities include;

  • Take ownership and lead the medium and long term forecasting and planning process.
  • Maintain a model of Group performance to help monitor the levers and timing needed for a successful exit for the current shareholders and management.
  • Analyse performance of strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, to ensure that they continue to deliver shareholder value, and if not recommend changes to improve the situation.
  • Equip Senior Management and Private Equity Investors with the information necessary to analyse performance trends and key actions for delivery of strategic plans.
  • Provide financial consulting and strategic support to global senior management and the board on ad-hoc matters are they arise.
  • Review and recommend approval for any long-term investment decisions

The Successful Applicant;

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or international equivalent) or MBA
  • Proven track record in Strategic Financial Planning within medium to large, complex international organisations, or within Consulting.
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced demanding environment including companies under Private Equity ownership
  • Strong leadership skills required and ability to interface and collaborate with senior executive management.
  • French language would be a distinct advantage for this role.
