Finance Systems Accountant

We are urgently seeking an Interim Finance Systems Accountant with strong experience of Oracle and Finance Systems to join this leading FTSE 100 organisation on an initial 6 months with potential to extend or become a permanent role. You will be available to interview immediately and commence the role w/c August 21st 2017.

Key Duties:
-To provide all finance system related period end activities to support the financial reporting process
-To undertake these processing tasks under the financial control framework ensuring controls are adhered to, monitored and evidenced
-Liaison with IS to ensure completeness of information for month end processes; including interfaces/ Sub-ledger postings
-To support IS in the testing & delivery of the latest Fusion releases [upgrades] and patches
-Lead the access controls activity for Fusion and associated reporting
-Identify and remediate any Segregation of duties conflicts and carry out role provisioning in line with the controls
-To become the 1st point for Fusion related "How to" queries, prior to them being raised with helpdesk or IS
-To build an effective super-user community to ensure that the system knowledge is retained and developed
-Part of the wider finance team and supporting the people agenda
-Other ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities to ensure an efficient and effective finance department
-To build effective relationships with key internal and external customers & suppliers that supports the wider strategy

The successful candidate will have strong Oracle/ Similar ERP and Finance Systems experience (ideally Oracle Fusion) and Advanced Level MS Excel skills. You will have experience managing small projects and teams and have worked in a large, matrix organisation. Experience of managing a number of systems implementations is highly desirable.
