Senior International Auditor

A large international development charity is looking for a Senior International Auditor to join the audit department and take on responsibility for running programme audits on behalf of the charity. The Senior International Auditor will be responsible for overseeing both the UK office and the programmes running internationally. This will largely focus on auditing donor funded programmes operating across the world with a focus on value for money and mitigating risk. Extensive international travel will be involved in this role as visiting programme sites will be necessary. Time travelling is expected to be around 50%. The Senior International Auditor will work independently, and will be responsible for planning, conducting and reporting on audits.

The successful candidate will be either IIA or CCAB qualified and will have internal audit experience. Ideally the right candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for the international development sector and an ability to pick up new responsibilities quickly. Excellent communication skills are essential and experience in an international NGO would be a slight advantage. The successful candidate will be able to identify areas of risk, plan, conduct and report on audits independently.

Working knowledge of French and Spanish would be an advantage but by no means essential for this position.
