Group Financial Controller

Our client is a high growth business which requires a Financial Controller to support its continued growth.  Reporting to the Finance Director key responsibilities will include –

• Develop accounting systems, procedures and processes for management of the finance function.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant financial policies and procedures.
• Initiate and drive change in financial control to improve efficiency and increase value added.
• Manage the work and development staff members
• Responsible for maintaining accurate books of the UK legal entity.
• Group consolidated accounts
• Prepare monthly reporting package, including comparative reports of operating results and financial position and variance explanations.
• Assist with preparation of monthly company reporting package.
• Manage the annual audit including preparation of all working papers for external auditors.
• Prepare or review all necessary annual inputs for UK tax purposes, including R&D tax credits.
• Manage inter-company billings to and from all overseas subsidiaries and reconcile group balances.
• Assist the FD and FP&A Manager in preparing the annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with all tax and legal requirements (VAT returns, company tax returns and government reporting requirements).
• Special projects as required.

You will be a Qualified Accountant with a track record improving financial processes and the ability to act as an interface for finance with other parts of the business. You must have strong people management skills. It would be beneficial to have experience of working in a high growth business.
