Finance Manager - Our Client are a privately held, Global Property Investor, Developer and Manager with a number of real estate properties across a range of asset classes. They are fast expanding in the UK markets and currently adopt an SME structure, they are amidst growing the team to support the growing number of acquisitions / projects and require a Finance Manager to join the team.
The successful Finance Manager will perform the following duties:
- Managing a small team in Financial Accounting.
- Reporting for a portfolio of entities and being a part of the financial operations supporting Europe.
- Overseeing compliance, procurement and other internal policies and delegating responsibility accordingly.
- Performing monthly bank reconciliations.
- Enabling the timely month-end reporting and carrying out inter-company reconciliations.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and reporting.
- Enabling quarterly audit schedules to take place and carrying out the daily financial operations.
- Reviewing accounts prepared by Property Managers / Agents and varying departments for the entity level closing accounts.
- Ensuring timely preparation of the financial statements for audit purposes.
- Ensuring the timely submission of accounts to the relevant statutory bodies.
- Overseeing all tax matters such as VAT and Corporate Tax, including the preparation of tax computation (or working closely with a tax consultant regarding tax computation).
- Handling all tax queries from tax authorities.
- Responsible for budgeting and forecasting.
- Implementing Group policies, processes and systems.
The Person MUST have a recognised Accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA and at least 5 years of managerial experience, hands-on operational finance experience and solid knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS. Also, SAP experience will be advantageous.
