CFO

We are pleased to be recruiting for a rare opportunity to join a market leading retail brand as Chief Financial Officer.  Due to exceptional, continued business growth, our client is looking for a talented, skilled and entrepreneurial individual to take up the post of CFO, with an immediate start.

This role will be based in their Leeds offices.  The CFO will take full responsibility for the finance operation, as well leading company finance strategy.

Our client requires a strategic thinker who possesses exceptional commercial acumen and the determination and drive to steer the business forward.  The CFO will sit on the Board of Directors and report to the CEO. 

Key responsibilities:

• Management and development responsibility for the Finance team
• Overall responsibility for all financial activities for the company, including reporting, cost savings, audits, banking relationships, evaluation of growth opportunities
• Accountable for budgeting, forecasting and planning
• Sit on Board of Directors
• Advise and guide the board and internal colleagues on financial matters
• Liaise closely with key internal departments such as HR and Operations
• Improve and enhance company financial framework
• Regularly review systems and process, making improvements as needed
• Develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

This role is ideal for a highly experienced CFO who has been operating at a senior level for a number of years.  The role requires the ability to balance competing tasks, deliver at the highest level and provide commercially sound financial advice.  Therefore only individuals with a proven track record in a similar role will be considered.

Exceptional communication, leadership and influential skills are critical to this position.  Experience of the retail sector would be beneficial.
