A market leading and rapidly expanding organisation is currently looking to recruit an ACA Qualified Management Accountant. Working within their impressive Head Office based in South Liverpool, you will report to the Financial Controller and work as part of a small & friendly team to deliver a first class service. In a highly visible and key role within the business, you will be tasked with assisting in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, financial reporting information, VAT returns and statutory accounts. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in producing monthly management accounts across all group entities
  • Preparing and posting of journals including payroll, intercompany, depreciation, accruals & prepayments, VAT and corporation tax journals
  • Preparing statutory accounts for all group entities for review by FC
  • Reviewing Balance sheet reconciliations of key GL accounts
  • Taking charge of the monthly consolidation process to produce group accounts
  • Producing the monthly board pack and providing detailed variance analysis
  • Reviewing completeness of sales and purchase invoice listings
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Reviewing cashbook and bank reconciliation process
  • Reviewing Fixed Asset Register
  • Assisting external auditors for annual statutory audit and assist other areas of the business with preparing information for similar regulatory purposes
  • Assisting in building & maintaining the financial forecast model, updating actual figures & producing scenario analysis & variance reporting for review

Applicants must be ACA qualified and my client is willing to consider first time movers or applicants who have already made the move from accounts practice into industry. Previous experience of operating in a similar profile role is essential. You will have a strong technical & analytical approach and will be organised & proactive - thriving off a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
