The role:

Leading on the collation of our short and medium-term operational plans for New Homes and all operational teams within Bromford, the role of Business/Financial Planning Controller will be to deliver an exceptional financial and business planning service. Monitoring how we’re doing and where we plan to go, you’ll offer great control, insight and leadership along the way, whilst delivering objectives through a proactive and agile approach. This role is also responsible for preparing and monitoring the delivery of our longer-term Business Plans. Day to day you can expect to review budgets, prepare business cases, analyse plans and suggest improvements, as well as submit timely financial reports and returns internally and externally.

 The requirements

Already a qualified member of a recognised accounting body and with several years of leadership and financial experience under your wing, you’ll be able to point to solid practical experience of financial reporting, budgeting, management accounting and financial modelling or business planning, alongside an understanding of how risk and cashflow can affect a business. We’ll also expect you to showcase first class analytical / reporting skills and great commercial knowledge. As an expert in your field, a champion of change and a role model to your team, it goes without saying that your mentorship, communication and influencing skills will be exemplary. This is a matrix leadership role and you’ll be comfortable working alongside and challenging other senior leaders in the finance team and the wider business.
