Interim Senior Finance Business Partner

Hudson Executive are delighted to be supporting our global media client in appointing a commercial finance business partner (12 Month Contract). With an enviable client roster and a plethora of industry awards, they are seeking to hire a commercial finance business partner to oversee a key EMEA region on a maternity cover basis. Reporting to the EMEA CFO, this represents a highly compelling opportunity for a qualified chartered accountant (or equivalent) to assume regional responsibility for a key territory, shaping strategic decision making and impacting the bottom line. The remit encompasses: 1 Primary point of contact for both local CFO's, EMEA and Worldwide management for a portfolio of European markets 2 Carry out in-depth quarter-end review of financial performance, providing analysis and reports to EMEA & Worldwide management 3 Review, critically appraise and report on Annual Profit Plans and subsequent Re-forecasts throughout the year 4 Challenge local CFO's on appropriateness of forecasts and over time provide commercial input 5 Assess and report on acquisition & disposal opportunities 6 Assess and report on senior management remuneration packages, property transactions and capex proposals 7 Review working capital with a particular emphasis on accounts receivable and cash. 8 Liaise with the corporate internal audit department, tax department and treasury department as appropriate 9 Ad hoc projects as and when they arise The successful candidate will have the desire to work in a dynamic and highly creative environment of a global business, whilst being comfortable engaging cross functionally. You will also posses the ability to build relationships and secure buy in from extremely senior stakeholders. Experience As a qualified chartered accountant (ACA), you will possess relevant post qualified experience within the advertising/media/creative industry. Having worked on large scale clients (ideally media/advertising focused) you will have a strong academic track record and be highly adaptable to the challenges of working to deadlines. US GAAP experience is advantageous but not essential.
