Head of Global Finance Systems Operations

A NASDAQ listed international Retailer is actively recruiting a Head of Global Finance Systems Operations to join a high profile team. A newly created opportunity has arisen within their Group Controllership team to work for this dynamic, ambitious globally recognised brand.

Reporting directly into the Global Finance Strategy Director, your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing the Global Finance Systems operations team to be a centre of excellence, with team members released to participate in and lead their own projects.
• Supporting transformation projects across the wider group, ensuring that guiding principles are followed and enhanced, and that appropriate governance is in place at all times
• Optimisation of the Group systems to ensure they are "fit-for-purpose" to meet business management information and statutory reporting requirements efficiently and monitoring performance for the systems and their support.
• Development of operational components of Controller and TM1 strategy including policies and procedures.
• Liaison with system suppliers and IT support to ensure that the system is properly supported and robust

The ideal profile will be a qualified accountant with experience in finance transformation and systems control in a global Cognos environment. It is essential you have a wealth of Cognos experience (either TM1 or Controller). This role will interface with stakeholders and divisions globally so strong communication skills are essential for this role.
