Financial Controller

SF Group are working with a significantly sized conglomerate near Tewkesbury to recruit a communicative and well rounded Financial Controller.

Reporting to the UK Finance Director of this US owned subsidiary, you will manage a team of c30 people in the delivery of cutting edge financial information with which both the finance and non finance teams can make astute commercial and strategic decisions.

Given the autonomous nature of this subsidiary you will not only manage all financial and management reporting, but also the majority of the tax and treasury requirements that the business has.

This role has a 60:40 split between reporting and commerciality - on this basis the role would suit someone who is already working as FC in a large, complex business (minimum £200m turnover) and looking for something more dynamic, or someone who has worked in both a Group role and Divisional role and who is now looking to bring the experience they have gained together under one roof.

On the basis that this organisation operates in several markets, sector experience is not a concern. What we do need though is a candidate that can deal with complex technical issues, but also command respect in a commercial, non finance environment.

The role reports to the UK Finance Director and would likely be the successor to this role within 2 - 3 years.

Regrettably we cannot consider candidates who are looking to relocate - we really need someone who lives currently within a reasonable commute of the Tewkesbury/Gloucester area.
