Currently recruiting a new role for an Assistant Financial Controller for growing start-up company based in Haverhill. The purpose of this role is to assist the Head of Finance in the day to day running of the finance function.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing day to day financial tasks within the company, including but not limited to sales and purchaser ledger entries, financial reconciliations, cash collection and payments.
Preparation of agreed financial metrics to the Head of Finance
Timely creation of management accounts and commentary on financial performance
Supporting the preparation of budgets and reforecasting of the company's overall business model
Assist with the preparation and submission of all statutory, company and regulatory filings
Oversee payroll and VAT ensuring return's submitted to HMRC are prepared correctly and on a timely basis
Support the reclaim process for VAT and R&D tax credits.
Support the ongoing development of company's financial process and systems in line with business growth, corporate governance and compliance to ISO9001
Management of payroll function
Hands on knowledge of ERP systems, SAP B1 experience an advantage
Experience of working in a manufacturing company, the management of cost models, demand forecasting and stock management.
You will be Part or Newly Qualified accountant, ACA/CIMA/ACCA who can ideally demonstrate experience of working in a venture backed company during its early revenue through growth stage; particularly stakeholder management and fund raising. Have a clear understanding and demonstrable experience of financial operating procedures in a small enterprise environment.
