PROJECT/COST ACCOUNTANT

Our client is a major manufacturing company with a local presence in Staffordshire. An interim contract has been created for a period of approximately 3 months to undertake a variety of duties including product costing and data manipulation. The salary on offer is pro rata and will ideally suit a CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant although part qualified and QBE candidates will also be considered with the relevant background and experience. Manufacturing experience is essential as is the ability to start 29th August 2017.

THE ROLE
-Working with the manufacturing finance team the role will involve working with standard product costs and will require the ability to manipulate financial data effectively and accurately
-You will need to be able to understand the value of resources and the process of defining the costs to make one product and then be able to define the margin
-The role requires the ability to work with a large volume product range, in this case £6k SKUs within a specific budget

THE CANDIDATE
-The successful candidate will be preferably CIMA/ACCA qualified and available from the end of August until approximately the middle of November.
-Must have a manufacturing background and preferably SAP experience but not essential
-Part qualified and QBE candidates will also be considered with the relevant background and experience.
