Top 10 trained ACA | Group Finance Manager | Private Equity-backed | Highly Acquisitive & Rapidly Growing | Business Process Outsourcing Sector | Financial Accounting & Reporting | Projects & Transformation | M&A and Integration | Senior Stakeholder Engagement | External Relationships

Axon Moore is representing a rapidly growing, £300m t/o, private equity-backed, mid-market outsourcer as they look to appoint a Group Finance Manager.

With seven acquisitions in five years, the successful candidate will help drive integration and standardisation projects as the finance team continues their evolution and development into a corporate finance function. This will provide a driven candidate with the perfect platform from which to gain exposure to transformation, the private equity cycle and associated finance events and thereby add value beyond a core set of technical responsibilities.

Reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller, whilst working closely with a high calibre Board and Executive team, there will be a huge amount of variety due to the dynamic and acquisitive nature of the business. However, core responsibilities will include:
  • Produce monthly consolidated profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statement for inclusion into the monthly investor board report, including full analysis.
  • Ownership of all reporting to the investors and banks.
  • To assist with the annual budget process, including attending operational review meetings.
  • To assist with the monthly P&L forecast process and produce forecasts for the balance sheet and cashflow.
  • Providing performance analysis on business data to support business decision making.
  • Strategy and planning tasks.
  • Promoting financial understanding and control within the business, championing best practice and ensuring you remain up to date with regulatory changes and current industry thinking.
  • Key role in devising and adopting group accounting policies.
  • Support the annual audit process, responsibility for the consolidated financial statements.
  • Work alongside the Group Finance Director, Group Financial Controller and the entity financial controllers with projects, one-off tasks and business as usual tasks as demand requires.
  • Assisting with integration projects.
  • Representing group finance on any future projects planned.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc group tasks as required.
Successful candidates should be trained in a Top 10 practice and have progressed to Manager level or gained technical reporting exposure in industry to a similar level. Whilst the technical skills are important, equally important is that the successful candidate is a self-starter that can drive change, able to challenge established wisdoms, can build strong relationships, is able to contribute to the senior leadership team and has the ambition to add value beyond their technical reporting skills.

If you possess a relevant skillset and would like to have a confidential conversation about the role and business then please submit an application and someone will be in touch shortly.
