Finance Manager

My client, a manufacturing company in Nottinghamshire, is looking for a finance manager for a 12 month maternity cover with experience of fast paced environments with tight deadlines.

We have worked with this company on many of occasions and the people that work there always have a good word to say with regards to the company, the environment and the people around them. This company has reached out to us to help with a Finance Manager role to cover maternity.

Your day to day responsibilities will include managing a small but busy team made up of AP Clerks and an Accounts Assistant. You will ensure that the deadlines are being hit at month end and everyone is working to the best of their ability. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will get involved in producing management accounts, fixed assets, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, Tax and getting involved in Audits. If you have exposure of reporting into group also, this would be a great help to you completing this assignment. The group, US owned, will mean SOX knowledge would be an advantage. You will also have experience in accounting controls and robust procedures. You too will look at stock management and cash flow analysis.

Ideally you will be qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) and within manufacturing or fast paced environments where you will be able to hit the ground running. You will also have really great Excel skills.

My client is looking to pay a salary of £35-40k for this role in an environment that is fun and fast paced.

Interviews are likely to be early next week for an immediate start to do some handover.
