This is an excellent opportunity to join a property investment advisor with significant experience in sourcing and managing a wide spectrum of real estate investment platform businesses on behalf of its clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to day overview of the purchase ledger process, reviewing junior staffs’ work and assist in their supervision and development
- Complete the daily accounting responsibilities for specific investments, solving daily issues which may arise in the PL process. Act in the role of the primary accountant and assist more junior staff when required
- Assist the Group Fund Accountants with the posting of monthly managing agent statements for various investments within deadlines
- Assist the Group Fund Accountants with quarterly reporting- calculating and posting accruals and prepayments journals, Balance Sheet reconciliation and analysis where required. Ensure all deadlines are met and procedures adhered to in order to produce a timely and accurate NAV for each investment
- Assist in the production of annual statutory accounts in line with appropriate accounting standards (UK GAAP 102 & IFRS), manage the deliverable timetable and liaise with other departments/ auditors to meet the tight reporting deadlines
- Assisting the Accountant on corporate accounting, JV Platforms and various analyses
- Act as a contact for the auditors and the banks for the Year End bank letter confirmation process
- Review weekly treasury reports prepared by the accounts assistant
- Liaise with banks to open bank accounts when required and adhoc bank admin
- Identify and implement work process improvements with regards to efficiency and maintaining a strong control environment
- Establish good working relationship with peers, colleagues and other departments
This role would be suitable for a newly qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong numerical and excel skills and demonstrable relevant experience. Property experience is preferable but not essential.
