Financial Controller Job in Liverpool for a large Financial Services Business. Entity Reporting. To £80000

A large Financial Services business based in Liverpool. This business is growing and is a subsidiary of a large International FS business. Your team is a small team of qualified accountants with the support of an offshore service centre. A great opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant seeking to develop their career in a large corporate.

Your new role
You will be responsible for all financial reporting for the UK and European Entities of this growing business. You'll ensure accounts are produced in accordance with UK and International Accounting Standards. Managing the team you will ensure an efficient month end close and will constantly seek to ensure adequate controls are functioning across the business.
You'll also liaise with the overseas Shared Service Centre to ensure they perform according to SLA and to support the resolution of queries.
An important part of your role will involve developing the systems and processes as new business opportunities arise.

This role will involve travel to other locations in the UK including London, however your principal base is Liverpool.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with at least 10 years post qualification experience. You'll have a good knowledge of financial services and will have staff leadership experience.
You will ideally have worked with SSC's or with outsourced / overseas service centres. In addition you will have experience of working on systems and integrating new business or processes.

This is a senior role and will necessitate significant travel to London in the first few months of the role.
