FINANCE MANAGER:
A fast-growing SME based near Epsom is currently looking for an Finance Manager. The business is one of the largest privately owned cleaning and support services companies in the UK. They occupy a unique position within the industry; their size offers them distinct advantages, small enough not to be constrained by corporate concerns yet big enough to provide a robust infrastructure and comprehensive resources.
As the Finance Manager you will report directly to the Finance Director and you will have the responsibility for a Group Assistant Finance Manager, Credit Controller and Purchase Ledger Clerk.
Major responsibilities:
- Monthly Management Accounts.
- System administration of finance software and database.
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns, Monthly PAYE payments, PSA annual payments and various National Statistic forms.
- Monitor transactions posted to the ledgers, ensuring postings are accurate.
- Regularly review Reconciliation accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain Carbon Data up to date
- Administration of the Purchase Order System
- Responsible for the Fixed Asset Register, ensure accuracy of maintenance contracts and relevant Asset Financing Reconciliations with the Finance providers.
- Monitor the Chemical and Consumables Invoices and reconciliation to the Purchase Orders
- Maintain Annual Budgets
- Effectively manage and lead a group of three members of the Finance department (Purchase Ledger and Assistant Accountants)
- 12. All the above relates to the whole group of companies (Currently two)
Role Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant or QBE
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Access Dimensions or similar
- Basic Systems knowledge
- Knowledge of the whole financial workflow, and have ability to support any position to cover holidays, sickness etc.
