Finance Manager

Our client is a global financial services provider based in Liverpool city centre. Due to a recent period of change, they are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Finance Manager will take responsibility for the following:

- Monthly management accounts under FRS101 and US GAAP - this will include reporting and variance analysis
- Oversight of daily controls
- Ensuring balances are accurate
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Coordinating financial statements for legal entities
- Liaising with auditors
- Reviewing financial statements
- Running the month end
- Training and development of more junior teams

The Finance Manager must meet the following criteria:

- Experience within financial services - please note, this is crucial
- Working knowledge of investment products such as equities or fixed income
- Understanding of the investment trade life cycle
- Working knowledge of reviewing (rather than preparing) financial statements
- Experience of running the month end
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Experienced people manager
- Good stakeholder management and communication abilities
