A leading health / age focused charity is urgently seeking an experienced charity Finance Manager for a permanent role.

Duties:

-Report to the CEO and liaise with the Chair and Treasurer to deliver a high standard of financial management
-Provide leadership for the finance and resources department and the line management of up to three staff depending on experience with HR and Office Management
-Be responsible for overseeing the organisation's finance systems
-Development management reporting and analysis to support effective decision making by the Board
-Production of timely, accurate and detailed management accounts
-Preparation of monthly and quarterly cost centre management accounts
-Preparation of year end accounts for the annual audit incorporating the annual report and accounts
-Work collectively with the Leadership Team to prepare annual budgets
-Maintain an effective budgetary control and reporting systems
-Responsibility for the management of the Charity's bank accounts ensuring that surplus funds are invested in accordance with the Charity's investment strategy
-Manage and control processes to control expenditure, improve forecasting and future planning
-Ensure the regular and timely payments of staff and manage and control the administration payroll / Inland Revenue matters
-Oversee the management of rented offices and associated services
-Liaise with Companies House and the Charity Commission with regard to general company and charity administration and ensure timely filing of all reports, returns and accounts as required.
-Responsible for ensuring the charity is fully and properly insure

Requirements:

-Part or fully-qualified accountant
-Strong charity sector experience
-Knowledge of the legal framework of charities including governance structures
-Knowledge of audit processes and financial statutory obligations for charities
-Thorough understanding of financial planning, forecasting and analysis technique
-Experience of working across business models - contracts/trusts/charge for services
-Ideally Sage experience
-Office management and broad resources experience
