Assistant Accountant

A successful manufacturing business based in Todmorden are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant. You will be responsible for various financial accounting and administration tasks including, preparation and input of month end journals and balance sheet reconciliations to strict deadlines. Providing assistance to the Financial Controller with
month end reporting, budgets, rolling forecasts, cash forecasting and other various ad hoc reports.

General Responsibilities include:

· Supervision of 2 direct reports
· Assisting with the preparation of Monthly Management accounts, including all balance sheet reconciliations, and maintenance of
the Fixed Asset register
· Preparation / review of journals
· Preparation of all HMRC reporting requirements, including; VAT, P11d/Class 1A, PAYE returns and payments
· Completion of Statistics Office annual business, quarterly capital expenditure and other surveys
· Assisting with annual budget process
· Assisting with the preparation of schedules for year-end audit and corporation tax return and payments
· Preparation of payroll information and liaison with payroll bureau
· Supplier and intercompany payments
· Assisting with ad hoc Finance Controller tasks/requests as required
