You will be required to assist with technical queries in relation to Audit, Financial reporting, Anti-Money Laundering, Ethics, Company Law, and some specialist areas (experience on all these areas not required as training will be provided).
Principle Responsibilities:
- Assist with technical queries in relation to Audit, Financial Reporting, Audit, Money Laundering, Ethics and company secretarial and some specialist areas Pensions, SAR, FCA etc
- Research technical issues and able to produce a summary of findings.
- Assist with software training in relation to Accounts production and file documentation
- Provide adhoc training on key audit/financial reporting/money laundering areas for staff as required
- Prepare and run internal workshops
- Provide assistance with accounts production software and audit and accounts file documentation software
- Assist with Group compliance - review files, documents, procedures and policies
- Assist with drafting procedures and policy documents
- Monitor new and proposed changes in standards/legislation
- Assist with making AML reports
- Draft guidance for our internal intranet
- Draft guidance for clients / help produce news articles
- Draft responses to consultation documents
- Assist with internal reporting - specifically for partners conferences
- Research on specific industries, jurisdictions
- Proof read reports
- Keep technically up to date on financial reporting, auditing issues, FCA and issues affecting the accounting profession
- Be aware of and promote the firms policies and procedures.
- Prepared to visit the different offices
- Help maintain AML reporting and training records
- Assist with adhoc projects - including listing reports n Investigate/follow up AML reports/issues
- Assist other departments with client work as required
Person Specification:
- Able to research and summarise findings
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Eye for detail
- Willingness to learn and develop
- ACCA or ACA qualified
- Good IFRS knowledge
- Good presentation skills
- Audit experience required
