Business Planning Manager / Commercial Finance Manager
£55-£65K + £5K Car + 8-16% Bonus Potential + Stock Options

We urgently seeking a high calibre, commercially focussed, Business Planning Manager to join one of the fastest growing International Retailers in World.
Examples of projects and work include: Does additional store payroll drive incremental sales? What is Click & Collect worth to the business? What does the presentation of our stores mean for their performance? How do new stores interact with existing stores? Do neighbouring retailers have a positive or negative effect on our sales?

This Finance Manager role offers a unique opportunity to be a truly commercially focused Business Partner. You will be responsible for delivering insightful analysis to answer key business questions that directly influence the day-to-day and long term strategy of the organisation.

The Business Analysis team supports the whole organisation, partnering across Marketing, Operations, Property, Merchandising, Buying, Distribution, Ecommerce and more, providing great opportunity to gain exposure across all members of the Senior Leadership team with direct exposure to the European CFO.

Key Responsibilities:
-Work with senior management to support the development of appropriate strategies for the growth of the European business
-Partner across the entire organisation to support both financially and analytically towards their goals and priorities
-Lead and develop a team of 3
-Support the business to conduct trials, consult non finance professionals on Test and Learn best practice, analyse results using statistical software and present findings back to Senior Leadership
-Work with business partners to build financial business cases to support large scale investments
-Develop an understanding of the competitive pressures that the business faces and their potential implications and provide business alternatives/solutions
-Work with the Manager of Analysis to provide cohesive analytical support on ad hoc financial analyses that drive strategic business decisions
-Continually challenge current thinking and make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk/cost to the business.
-Evaluate and report actual versus planned outcomes of key European strategic and tactical decisions
-Ensure all corporate requirements are met on time and to the required standard

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience required:
We are seeking a high calibre, progressive CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified Finance Manager with 3-5 years PQE gained in a leading consumer focussed business ideally a Retail/FMCG business. Candidates from a Big 4 / Top Tier Consulting organisation will be considered. You will have previous management experience, very strong business modelling skills, a high level of initiative and drive, combined with an analytical approach to problem solving and acute commercial awareness. You will be able to communicate and influence across the business and be comfortable business partnering across a variety of functions.
