Vitae is pleased to be working exclusively on an exciting 6 month fixed term contract opportunity with a dynamic, leading household name retail organisation in London as Interim Senior Project Financial Controls Manager.

The finance team are currently managing a number of initiatives. Currently working to an aggressive timeline and now require additional resource to support the core team as they continue to deliver 'business as usual' and a number of ongoing process improvement activities.

The areas of focus include:
-Process mapping and documentation - The business has grown significantly over a number of years, both in the UK&I and across Europe, and processes / documentation now need to reflect a business of our size
-Implementation of New Group wide policies
-Reviews of UK&I governance structures within the context of the overall Group governance structure
-Formalisation of controls (including documentary evidence)
-Closure of dormant companies
-Preparing for an accelerated year end timetable (year-end November 2017) involving PWC reviews at the end of Q3 and a more extensive interim audit expected on the back of Period 11 results
-Readiness for statutory accounts
-Additional reporting to meet investor requirements

We are looking for an ACA qualified accountant with a solid track record working at a senior level within a financial control environment.

To be considered you must be a proven professional interim / contractor. You will have completed multiple long term contract opportunities specifically within large, fast-paced, multi-site Retail, Hospitality or Leisure organisations.
You will need to be able to take a big picture view and translate this into detailed plans to deliver required outputs to a tight timeline.

The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent people skills, building credible relationships with middle to senior management within Finance and across other functions. (Much of the output will be dependent on engaging with the individuals who do the work).

You will be prepared to roll their sleeves up to get the job done and have the required IT skills to produce high quality (and attractive) outputs.
